Depending on the severity, location, and type of psoriasis, Dr. Batra may prescribe a number of different treatments for psoriasis. Topical (skin applied) creams, lotions, sprays, and localized steroid injections may prove effective for mild conditions. For moderate psoriasis, pharmaceuticals, injections, and light treatment (phototherapy) have been successful. For psoriatic arthritis systemic medications may be necessary.
